TMZ obtained court documents filed yesterday, which "commands" that a spectacular list of celebrities appear for depositions in a lawsuit filed by one Jerome Almon, who alleges that Canada has launched an attack on U.S. black rappers. The lawsuit claims Canadaian officals blame rappers for both increased gangs and gun violence in Toronto and Vancouver, and holds up black rappers at the border.

The list goes on to include Paris Hilton, Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Snoop Dogg, DMX, Diddy, Jenna Jameson, Jay Z, 50 Cent, Eminem, Kobe Bryant, Spike Lee, Tom Sizemore, Martha Stewart and Heidi Fleiss. Mr. Almon, CEO of MurderCap Records, tells TMZ, "The white celebrities have been directed to appear, in order to show the hypocritical nature of Canadian policy toward rappers. Some of the white celebrities have far worse records than these rappers, but are still allowed to enter Canada with the red carpet rolled out."

Trip to Motor City ... everybody!

167. To those of you stating that Americans have more freedom of speech than Canada and way of life is better, hell...where do you get your statistics from???? After all we have a better health care system here as oppose to you guys....We don't bleep every other word that we think the media should not be hearing on tv and the radio...we do not go about manipulating other countries and senselessy starting feuds...we do not have a lawyer for every houshold(so much for freedom) ...financially we are way more responsible than you guys and don't screw up our credits and apply for services on our Two year old kid names....and do not start filing for bankruptcy once we hit 18 for that matter...In short like it or not, Canada is Gods' country, just take a look around you and all the calamity you've endured and how safe God has kept us next door to you. Just take a look at NASA and all the great contributions comming from Canadians one way or another..not forgetting our reliable Canadian in space, that is heavily relied on for critical information. You really ought to rethink your amazing country...Whenever i travel..i am constantly reminded of how well your country is despised by other countries..food for thought. God Bless Canada...

169. I'm so sick of everyone blaming the rappers when there are a bunch of older white men in suits that run the record companies. They are the ones that choose which albums to promote and they dictate the trends in music. Besides Kanye West there is no rapper that doesn't talk about guns and drugs that gets promotion on the level of rappers that glorify all of that garbage. Wake up people! If you want to get rid of cRAP you have to place the blame where it belongs. Cause think about it, most of these rappers have nothing when they start, then a record company offers them a $250,000 advance on an album about guns, sex, and drugs. If you were in their position, wouldn't you take it?

171. So let me get this straight: You go around talking smack about drugs, degrading women, shooting people, miscellaneous violence, and other generally anti-social behavior, but then, when someone wants to check you out before letting you into their country, then THEY are the bad guys and it's "RACIST!!!"...?

Between this issue, healthcare issues, social attitudes, and government, Canada is looking better to me every day!

172. "An article by Canada's National Post columnist David Frum where he revealed that "Canada's overall crime rate is now 50 percent higher than the crime rate in the United States.” Moreover, "Since the early 1990s, crime rates have dropped in 48 of the 50 states and 80 percent of American cities. Over that same period, crime rates have risen in six of the 10 Canadian provinces and in seven of Canada’s 10 biggest cities.”

So tell me again how much more peaceful Canadians are to Americans? I am appalled at the blatant naiveté.

173. This is the stupidest thing I've ever heard. Why is everything always blamed on rappers?? We might as well sue all of the actors who've stared in movies that do the same things that rappers rap about. Can anyone say Soprano's? Noooo, but everyone looooves that show. More racism for you. Get a life people!!!

174. This lawsuit is ridiculous. Every country has Border entry policies, and Canada enforces there policies regarding people entering with a criminal history. So does America. The British Singer Lily Allen is now in the process of Trying get another visa to enter America due to the fact she Assaulted a US photographer here. Last time I looked Lily Allen was not a black rapper. Canada also denied entry to Martha Stewart. I wish we could find a way to ban Celine Dion, But hey thats just personal opinion.

regarding comments from: Canada is god's country - your a sick person and should carefully look at your post. If you believe in God, you would believe he created the entire planet, not just Canada. You state god keeps you safe, while America gets plummeted by natural disaster - shame on you for using nature as a righteousness argument. And lastly, if you are proud to use the Space Shuttles accidents in your favor, your truly sick. Those people who died have family . Those people were pioneers and died doing what was their passion. Even you stated that Nasa relies on Canada - which implies trust and respect. Qualities that you personally do not possess

175. To post # 175...Dude...did i say anything about the space shuttle accident here or even glorified any tragedies here????Please read my post again. I talked about the Canadian Arm that is being used in space by NASA...it is relied upon on space missions, that's it. Do not take my post out of context...this bit of facts was directed to the Canadian bashing fools who made their post here. The truth however is hard to fathom sometimes, but it is what it is...it speaks for itself...Tell me, do you believe in nature as oppose to God...We Canadians have a good heart...we mind our own business.....we believe in solutions and not escalating unfortunate situations...Yes we have our faults to, but for the most part we help other countries in need and not go bla blaing about it. May God continue to bless us.....

176. The thing that doesn't sit right for me on this is that he's calling celebrities to testify...it implies that celebrities should get special treatment.

If he was treated the way an average person should not be treated--that is a problem. He should be calling average people to testify about their experiences, unless the celebs with crossing problems are the only people he can find.

At the very least, he should have no problem finding average citizens who cross without incident.

To try to call and compare celebrities seems to say he thinks he should get preferential treatment like other celebs (which is wrong--none of them should get it), or that he's trying to use star power to win the case (which would be wrong to do!).
