Britney -- Worst. Witness. Ever.

TMZ has learned Britney Spears had quite the interaction today with L.A. County Commissioner Scott Gordon, and she dug a hole deeper than a Louisiana swamp.

We're told Spears had a back and forth with the Commish that lasted approximately 40 minutes. She constantly interrupted him and at times was extremely sarcastic. At one point she started thanking the judge for what he had done, but her tone was heavily laced with disdain.

We're told the Commish explained to Spears how she had gotten to the point she's at -- why defying the various orders she was supposed to comply with raised concerns that she was not a responsible person. Spears didn't get it. She was at times contentious, argumentative and condescending.

We're told K-Fed's lawyer didn't object to her testimony, it was so bad. One description of today's testimony, pretty simple -- "Appalling."

286. As to Kfed, I saw his ex wife being interviewed and she said he was a good father and he sees his kids at least twice a week. So why would he try to get custody of them when they have a great mother.

287. I feel bad for her, but not in a pitty kinda way. I just wish she could have someone she could trust with all her heart to look to for help. Family can only do so much. I honestly wish her the best, it has to be hard growing up in the public eye and then raising your own children in the public eye. Some things that have happened in the past with her and her boys became such a big deal, but would have been nothing for the average person. My heart goes out to her and I hope that things turn around. She needs true friends right now to help her on the right path. Who can she really trust right know??? I am sure some of her friends are just her friends because of the money and probably don't give the advice that she needs, that a real true friend would give. Friends will speak up and can usually get the point across better then family sometimes. Yes, I know she is responsible for her own actions, but who can really say what its like to be her. She is having a hard time right now and if you are a true fan you have to support her and just keep her in your heart.

292. OMG leave her ALONE. The bottom line is, NONE of you know her well enough to pass judgement. Its not as if you all (or myself for those of you who will decide to be immature) is perfect. Yes, she has messed up royaly, but unfortunately for her she is just famous enough the press gets to exploit her pain, misery, and mistakes to the general public. Take what you hear about this woman, or ANYONE in HollyWood for that matter, with a GRAIN OF SALT. The press will print WHATEVER the hell it wants to in order to make a sale and get a rise out of the public. Stick to what you all know best, your OWN lives.

293. harvey why are you allowing your staff to lie about this ??she was soft spoken and respectful (access hollywood) a more reliable source. the judge would have got her for contempt of court and sent her to jail at least for a day and you know it...he is pissed at her in the first place.

295. Somebody please tell her the last person you want to get mouthy with is the Judge! Omg! has she been living in a bubble or what??? or is she so big headed and so egotisical that she even thinks she's got more power and say so than her judge...Go firgure...yet she's sweet to the paps who are using her and certainly not her friends, but is rude and disrespectful to a judge, a man who has the power to make sure she never has her kids...what is wrong with her? Sometime I do wonder if she wants those kids because she is not the typical mother who would starve to make sure her kids are fed, sacrifice etc. she won't even swallow her big fat silly pride long enough to get them back... so sad because she was once so sweet and likeable but looks like we created another ego maniac...

I can't believe, WE THE PEOPLE.... who live such "amazing" lives can hate a being who is only human to mistake. And yet the comments on the life this poor girls lives, and her sons! Not one of you have been there. Like you said..."""IT IS VERY SAD!!""" Or how about """APALLING"""...Yes yes the media is appaling. You are ruining lives! Britney needs peace, as we all do! She deserves it just as much as the rest. Please help Britney!!!!!!!!! If not for her, do it for the nation we live under.
